Birmingham City University (BCU) successfully combines innovative teaching and learning, sector-leading student support and effective partnerships with some of the country’s leading employers.

Birmingham City University is made up of four faculties, each covering a range of subjects and specialisms, these include: Arts, Design & Media; Business, Law & Social Sciences, Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment. 

Its courses have a strong focus on preparing students for the world of work, with many offering the option of a four-year ‘sandwich’ mode, with a full year in industry providing valuable work experience. This emphasis has helped ensure that nine in 10 of its graduates are in work or further study within six months (DLHE 2012/13).

The university encourages entrepreneurship - Birmingham City Business School’s ground-breaking Student Academic Partners (SAP) scheme gives you the chance to team up with other students and staff as part of an equal project partnership.

The University is investing £260 million in new facilities, including a major expansion of its City Centre Campus. It welcomes some 22,500 students from 80 countries onto its courses, ensuring all students benefit from a global perspective and insight.
