UKVI have now reintroduced Priority services for new customers applying in the sponsored work routes (including global talent) and for students from 12 August.

New applicants applying in these eligible routes will now have the option to select PV (Priority Service) and SPV (Super Priority Service) appointments as part of their online application journey. Please note that PV and SPV services must be purchased online during the appointment booking process and cannot be purchased in the Visa Application Centre or retrospectively. There are extra fees for these services (in addition to the standard service fees of £363) currently, it is £250 for PV and £956 for SPV (source: Home Office ).

Priority Visa Service facilitates customers to receive a decision within 5 working days. For more information on this service, please visit the Services page of the country you plan to apply from.Super Priority service facilitates customers to receive a decision within 24 hours.

Note that for student visa applications Priority and Super Priority services are not available in all countries and centres and applicants should check VFS Global, the official partner of UKVI to determine whether their selected application centre offers the service. Students applying from Europe, Africa or some Middle Eastern countries (Jordan and Israel): to find out if you can get a faster decision through your visa application centre, select the country you’re applying from on the TLScontact list (and the right centre, if there’s more than one). Then check the ‘Added Value Services’ section of the page for that centre to see if the option is available. Find details on gov.uk.

If the PV and SPV are not available in your country or centre, you can apply for Standard Visa service which facilitates a decision on your visa application normally within 3 weeks once you attend your appointment at the visa application centre and upload all necessary documents on your visa application portal.
