QS and THE World University Rankings 2023: Public and Private universities in Bangladesh.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking 2023 has placed 2 Bangladeshi universities at the top level.
According to the QS ranking, Dhaka University (DU) ranks between 551-600 and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) ranks above 601.
In 2022 QS World University rankings both Dhaka University (DU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)’s ranked in the 801-1000 range – this year both universities have improved ranking positions. Private universities BRAC and North South University (NSU) were featured in the 10001-1200 range in the QS 2022 World University rankings.
QS World Rankings are based on six key metrics: Academic reputation (40%), Employer reputation (10%), Citations per faculty (20%), Faculty/student ratio (20%), International faculty ratio (5%), and International student ratio (5%).
Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 has placed Dhaka University (DU) and North South University (NSU) between 601 and 800 higher education institutions worldwide.
Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) were placed between 1201 and 1500 universities worldwide.
Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 includes 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions. The ranking is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution's performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Five countries entered the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the first time – all of them in Africa (Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Mauritius).
