LanguageCert has introduced Academic and General SELT tests, specifically designed to assess English language proficiency for UK student and work visas.
Starting December 19, these tests, recognized for their real-life scenarios and based on stakeholder feedback and research, will be available through the secure LanguageCert SELT Centre Network.
Marios Molfetas, Chief Languages Officer, emphasised the significance of this milestone and mentioned that an online version of the tests is planned for early 2024.
The Academic test caters to academic English proficiency, responding to institutional demands, while the General SELT test is targeted at those applying for UK Skilled Worker and Health and Care Worker visas, adhering to CEFR standards.
LanguageCert remains committed to meeting evolving user needs and providing secure and reliable testing. The current LanguageCert test for UKVI purposes, the ESOL 4-skills SELT provision for work and study, remains approved until further notice and is independently evaluated by UK ENIC.
