Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has crowned London as the best city for student living. The QS Best Student Cities survey highlights the optimal urban destinations for international students.

London continues its reign as the top choice for students for another year, boasting the second-highest scores in both 'Student Voice' (98.4) and 'World University Rankings' (94.9).

Melbourne secured the second-highest score in 'Student Voice' with 98.4 and claimed the third spot in 'Student Mix' with 98.6 points. This achievement aligns with expectations, considering Melbourne's recognition as the most affordable city among the top 10, as per Mercer’s Cost of Living City Ranking 2023.

Tokyo achieved the world's third-highest score in the QS World University Rankings indicator (90.1) and secured the fourth position globally for 'Employer Activity' (95.9). As a result, Tokyo climbed from seventh to second place in the QS Best Student Cities rankings.

Meanwhile, Madrid and Auckland exhibited notable advancements, moving from positions 44 and 27 respectively in the previous year to positions 37 and 29 in the current QS Best Student Cities 2024 rankings.

The QS Best Student Cities survey evaluates 160 top educational destinations, encompassing 26 newly added entries. To qualify for inclusion, each city must have a population exceeding 250,000 and be home to at least two universities listed in the latest QS World University Rankings.
