Earnings from working in the UK on student visa

Students will have the right to work while continuing their studies in the UK i.e. 10 hours per week if they are studying foundation course, 20 hours per week studying a bachelor, masters or PhD course. Students will be able to work full time per week during holiday period in between your course.

A No, it is not mandatory to apply for undergraduate courses via UCAS, many UK universities accept direct applications via online application portal for undergraduate courses. You do not need to apply for postgraduate courses via UCAS.

Q What are the entry requirements for UK undergraduate courses for USA students?

A Applicants with the following quali?cations will be considered for entry on an undergraduate degree:

  • A High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.8/4 and
    • a score of 1600/2400 on pre-2016 SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) or
    • a score of 1050/1600 on the new SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) or
    • an ACT score of 23+ or
    • two Advanced Placement (AP) tests with scores of three or above (depending on the course you are applying for) or
    • two SAT Subject-specific Tests (SATS) with minimum scores of 580 in each

  • A Master's qualification is accepted to apply for PhD study
