Earnings from working in the UK on student visa

Students will have the right to work while continuing their studies in the UK i.e. 10 hours per week if they are studying foundation course, 20 hours per week studying a bachelor, masters or PhD course. Students will be able to work full time per week during holiday period in between your course.

A Applicants with the following quali?cations will be considered for entry on a an undergraduate foundation course:

  • Baccalauria / Baccalaureate Certificate at Credit Grade Standard
  • Vocational / Technical Baccalauria
Q What are the UK undergraduate course entry requirements for Afghani students?

A Applicants with the following quali?cations will be considered for entry on a year 1 undergraduate/Bachelor's degree:

  • Technical Certificate (awarded by a Technicum), which may need to be in a subject relevant to the course you are applying for
  • Bachelor degree / Licence. Applicants with this qualification may be able to apply for entry to year 2 of an undergraduate course, or to a top-up degree; this will be at the discretion of the course director
Q What are the UK postgraduate course entry requirements for Afghani students?

A Applicants with the following quali?cations will be considered for entry on a postgraduate course:

  • Master's Degree
  • A first-class Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree from Kabul University will be accepted (for some courses)
  • Taught Masters Degree minimum of two years at First Class level 60% plus
Q Do UK universities accept TOEFL to meet English entry requirements?

A All UK universities accept TOEFL iBT test for bachelor degree, master's degree or a PhD courses. The minimum score requirements are set out below:

Q Can I apply for UK undergraduate/bachelor courses without UCAS?

A Yes, you can apply for undergraduate/bachelor courses without UCAS, many UK universities accept direct applications via online application portal for undergraduate courses. You do not need to apply for postgraduate courses via UCAS.

Q Can I submit my documents for UK University admission if those are not in English?

A No, documents that are not in English will not be accepted by UK universities. If any of your document is not in English, you will need those to be translated in English by official translator confirming accurate translation of the original document, the date of the translation, the translator's full name and signature, contact details. You must submit copies of documents, original and the translated one.

Q Are there mosques available in the UK to offer prayer by Muslim students? Is halal food available in the UK?

A There are big Muslim communities living across all cities of UK and all local areas have mosques to offer prayers. Most of the UK universities have multi-faith rooms/space available for students of different religions.
