My name is T Shamin and I'm from Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh. I’m a 27-year-old with a desire to extend my knowledge and an enthusiasm to extend my knowledge and skills in law sector today, and this has motivated me to pursue LLM (The Law relating to Fraud and Financial Crime) with Pre-sessional English course at BPP University. Nowadays fraudulent, and financial crime and violent conflict are on the rise in our country. According to my research fraudulent & terrorism, human trafficking, and financial crime are at their highest points in decades. The above reasons have also inspired me to study this demanding course. I bring along with me a strong grasp of fundamentals in law, along with a desire to learn, a penchant for teamwork and leadership. Following my SSC and HSC I studied Bachelor of Laws from Eastern University,Bangladesh in March 2017. Later on i have also studied Master Of Law from Jagannath University, Bangladesh in May 2018. Then i started my professional career as a Legal Secretary at Lalmonirhat District Judge Court. I am still working in the same position and it was really a fascinating experience for me to work in this sector. All throughout my entire life, I have accumulated useful knowledge, communication skills and analytical skills with various experiences. My English Language skills have been honed through years of experience and practice, through my SSC, HSC and during my bachelor as my medium of instruction was in English. During the these years i get to study all my course materials in English which has expanded my English language skills further. I have the capability of dealing even with complex technical issues with an analytical and professional approach. As of the moment, I am interested in learning all the related skills and knowledge from this course. As I have already studied my bachelor from law background, it will be easier for me to obtain better score in this course. For this reason, this course will be the right choice for my career plans and objectives.

This course enhance a students professional skills and awareness through additional skills workshops during their Employability Week. However, the Pre-sessional English course will help me to refine my English language and study skills for better academic performance. I have also come to know that this program is taught by lecturers with strong academic knowledge and skills and practical experience in the field. Moreover, the programme is the right choice for those students who able to frame their study according to their interests. This LLM will surely complement and enhance my academic knowledge and skills. The study will provide me latest knowledge in Fraud and Financial Crime area and develop me as a professional with highly competitive edge. In addition, studying a Master of Laws (LLM) could give an advantage in an increasingly competitive market, by developing your knowledge in a specialized area of law. BPP University offers Law Relating to Fraud and Financial Crime, Transnational Criminal Justice, Commercial Law and the Law of Investigations and Practice, Dissertation. All the practice ready modules of the course are highly demanding and suitable according to today's legal sector and these modules are designed to introduce students to the nature of fraud & financial crimes. I have decided to study this course in the UK as education in my home country is mostly theory based; there are not many applications in learning. The political chaos makes it harder to complete course without any delay and with focus on education. Besides, the academic environment is solely national students based and no opportunity to be a part of student community from international countries. The learning materials do not provide many opportunities to gain soft skills and do not have global outlook in learning. Additionally, tutors and learning equipment lag far behind UK.

f I can successfully complete this course, it will create also platform for me to explore different career opportunities such as Legal Analyst, Financial Investigator or Human Resources Adviser in any leading organization in my home country. Growing up in such a dynamic and large population has given me a strong interest in serving with the present legal systems. With this longstanding interest in law, I am very eager to expand my knowledge and skills related to the legal systems. I believe that further study in the UK is an important first step on the path to my career goals. I believe the UK is the ideal setting for refining my expertise in law while also acquiring a broader, international viewpoint. After completing this course, I want to come back to my country and start a successful career as a Legal Advisor. UK has a great multicultural and diversified student community which is an opportunity for me to learn with lot of students from different nationalities.
